Client was laid off from employer in 2021 and was collecting unemployment benefits. Had been paying ~$3100/month for several months for COBRA health insurance for his family of 4, and it was becoming unaffordable.

COBRA PREMIUM ASSISTANCE UNDER THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021"The premium assistance applies to periods of health coverage on or after April 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021." This resulted in a $15,500 federal tax credit!
